Cat Delete/O2 Cheater Question

Hey guys Tulsa,Oklahoman SVTF owner here wondering if anyone has ever done the cat delete/mil cheater found here at CFM:

I've been having a whole lot fo trouble with the whole P4020 (?) catalytic converter check engine code; specifically bank one. I changed my downstream 02 this evening (August 23rd) and on my drive home the light hasn't came back on after being cleared. But that does not settle me as I have done this before, be it a long time in the past and I'm not positive I bought the right sensors. Anyways, back to the point: Have you ever tried/heard of anyone attempting this swap and does it go smoothly? I don't want me computer detecting a problem and spitting back the code again. I'd love to not have to drive with that damn yellow light in the corner of my eye!

And also if it helps diagnose the issue, whenever I downshift I hear sputtering from my exhaust like there is too much air in the mixture or something, and it's also there when I rev my engine at higher RPMs (4500-6500) but in the lower RPMs (1000-3000) it's not there.

Any help would be great! Thanks guys in advance for any information!

The "sputtering" as you say is normal with a ORP. If you get a tune you can get the rear O2 turned off and won't need the MIL Cheater. Just my 2 cents.

There's an easy $4 fix for this. Go to any local parts store, and buy the two pack of spark plug foulers. Yes I know, bare with me. They will both have small holes in the bottom of them. Take one of them and drill that hole out big enough for the O2 sensor "sniffer" part to fit in. Screw the O2 sensor in that one. Now take that, and screw the other untouched fouler on the end of that. So it goes: O2 Sensor > Drilled out fouler > untouched fouler. Now just screw that entire assembly into your downstream O2 location and viola! Your computer will think the catalytic converter is working perfectly and you'll never get a code
