It's not the muffler. What does the rest of your exhaust consist of? Resonators, cats, header and pipe size all change the sound.

^^^ THIS!

Magnaflow is not ricey or loud for that matter, so SonicPDX , if yours is "RIIIIICCCEEEEEYYYY/RRRRRAAAAASSSPPPYYYY", it's definitely not your Magnaflow.

I 2nd the question... What does the rest of your exhaust consist of?

Stock wrapped header>CFM ORP>2.5 Flex>2.5 to RaspaFlow muffler (LOL)> Tail Pipe.

The car is the Ford Focus Pace car from the 2003 champcar series. Only has 20k mile on it.

My other SVT has Stock header>Stock Cat>Stock Flex>Borla with one resonator and one muffler. Sounds completely stock. Kind of wish it grumbled a little more.

There's the difference. You have the cat on your other car. I just have an orp on mine the rest is stock. It's a lot louder and raspier than the stock exhaust.

That sounded pretty good to me. Maybe loud, but it had a good tone and I didn't hear any raspiness. Not nearly as embarrassing as how my car was set up (stock flex pipe/cat->Borla cat back, no resonators).
