AEM vs FC UDP

real life stories, I would think that AEM is more reliable based on the company, but it's a lot cheaper than the FC version.

AEM has no UDP but an alt. pulley that doesn't really give big numbers execpt in the decimals. From AEM or FC I would go with FC. I prefer Esslinger over the two.

that's an alt pulley? I thought one wheel was for the crank and the other was for the water pump *shrugs*

That pic is just what their typical UDP looks like. When you recieve the package, A little note will be inside the package from AEM, saying that this Pulley kit only comes with an alt. pulley not crank and water pulley. You can buy Esslinger UDP at http://www.mcnewsautomotive.com/. IDK if this can fit on an SVT, talk to focaltech about this. He is the one who told me about this link and they are the cheapest according to him.
I am switching my AEM alt. pulley with Esslinger UDP soon.

AEM only makes alt pullies and not crankshaft pullies because aftermarket pullies get rid of the dampener on the stock pully. This can cause major engine problems down the road.

does anyone else think it's complete crap that you have to buy a second 40 some dollar part from AEM to prevent water from getting in your system from a poorly located filter?

how likely is it? and how far down the road? I don't want my pulley voiding the warranty and when I asked the dealership about it on Monday they told me I was okay with it and "pretty much anything short of forced induction"
