what has passed ohio e-check

I know there are a few SVT's running around in our little corn-filled corner of the world (Ohio). I also know that at least some of you have some basic bolt-on mods (intake, TB, ECU reflash, etc), or maybe even some more extreme mods (supercharger, ORP, cams, etc).

My questions is, for those of you that have gone through e-check with your mods installed, what aftermarket mods passed the inspection.

I know I can't be the only one interested in knowing this, so any reports would be appreciated.

The real bitch of it is...if I wanted to move an hour away from work, I would be in a county that doesn't require it.

I won't have to be worried for awhile...just bought by car this summer...isn't there like a 2 year grace period on e-check or something? (I don't know because I haven't had to get an e-check in forever due to being military stationed out of state)

Wouldn't anything that was CARB certified work for emissions anywhere else? If it works for the strictest state in the country, wouldn't it be good enough for Ohio?

Move across the river to Kentucky no emmisions tests. I'd just register the car in Kentucky it's not too hard to do. My brother lives in Park hills right across the river from Cincinati, and luckily they don't do emmisions tests.

Shhh... I got a secret to tell you. I haven't done this yet, so I can't completely confirm it, but I do have good info from an Ohio member at SVTOA. Ohio offers a thing called collector plates. You have to prove that a certain amount of $ was spent on restoration or that it was a limited production vechicle (less than 7500 units I think). Your SVT build certificate proves the limited numbers. Best part about collector plates??? They wave e-check.

Like I said, I can't show you my collector plates yet and swear that it works, but it'd be worth a call to your local DMV. I'll search SVTOA later and see if I can find more info for ya'.
