Throttle Body

Hı ı have looked at the cfm TB , but shıppıng wıll cost me twıce the prıce of the throttle body and the south afrıcan rand ıs 8 to the dollar so ımportıng ıs ıs gna be a bıaaaaaaaatch , ı was wonderıng ıs there no other ford throttle body that could be used on the st 170 , ı treally need to ıncrease acceleratıon response , thanks ın advance

You can port the stock one, there a threads on here explaining how to do it, I did it to mine and it made a huge difference in off idle throttle response!

Aren't some of the mustang throttle body's transferable? Dunno if the sell mustangs in south Africa though.

No amerıcan ford assembled here only englıs fords , mustangs are ımported prıvately , as for portıng the stock TB , many members on thıs forum say ıt does nothıng to performance

i ported mine and it made a difference...takes like an hour total from removal to install

Got a cfm on my svt... no real power gain maybe 1-2hp
Just a drivablity change... wakes the car up faster wen u put the pedal down

Forced induction is were it helps power

I think you can get 90% of what the aftermarket throttle bodies will give you with the exact improvements in throttle response and low speed power, and below 2000rpm it feels like I'm making more power than the un-ported throttle body.
