Question stock SVT clutch (Aug 15 one) with light flywheel possible?

Well, my car is going back in tommorrow to look into the dealer redoing the TSB for the flywheel "clatter" problem. This will be the third clutch/flywheel on my car in 12K...but I have to ask... I'm not in the mood to replace the stock clutch if that is not the problem with our cars. The flywheel is. So a lightweight aftermarket flywheel sure would be nice in conjunction with the stock clutch since I don't really have any mods and don't plan any. Anyone have a good guess as to whether this will work or not? I believe it would, and would save me money to convince my wife to go ahead with with just the more important component here. Thoughts on this matter would be appreciated!

Scott

Id go for it. There is no reason to believe that the stock clutch wont work with an aftermarket flywheel. But I personally would go ahead and replace the entire works, stage I clutch and a light weight flywheel.

If you get a stage one clutch with a light flywheel, the clutch would eat the flywheel apart, don't go with a light one, get a strong one.

I would think the light flywheel with the stock clutch would be an acceptable solution. Last time I had the clutch/flywheel replaced under TSB in July, the SVT tech told me to bring in the parts the next time my clutch went out and they'd install them under warrantee...of course my warantee would be toast, but I have 11200 miles on the car...so its toast anyways. Anyone have a favorite f/w?

Why would a stage 1 clutch eat up a light weight flywheel? I know our flywheel is rather heavy, so wouldn't a stronger flywheel be lighter also? Who sells stronger flywheels? *Puts on flame suit* What's the differences between the stages of clutches?

I know, lots of ?s, but I'm a newbie when it comes to manual transmissions.
