New svt owner!

Ok so we are getting ready to go out and purchase our 3rd focus which just happens to be a 2003 SVT. Soo excited cause we've been wanting one for a while and they just aren't easy to come by. The bad..The car is in rough shape. The person we're getting it off of bought it at auction wrecked. And instead of putting SVT body parts back on it they put regular focus parts on it. So it doesn't look right at all. Well to anyone else it does but to anyone that knows what a svt is supposed to look like it doesn't. lol. They put a regular bumper, regular grille, and regular headlights in it. Plus the SVT head unit is missing as well and the sub in the back has been disconnected. And for some reason, all the seat recliners were pulled off along with some of the trim to the seats. The car is gonna need a lot of work to get it right. Luckily the body is pretty straight with no dents or dings. Just going to need a really good bath and wax. So excited to get this car! Will post before pictures when we get it and hopefully keep posting pictures as we get it right. Any tips would be appreciated!

Wow that's alot of work. I hope you got it for less than 2K ... oh hell less than 1K.

We have a couple of members in our TX Region who had bought an SVT for less than 2K that still had their full interior and SVT Body parts, minus a damaged fender on one and a scratched up SVT front on the other. Other than that ... good running rides. (After a bit of TLC and mechanical know-how )

Good luck with the restoration. You can still buy the front and rear bumper covers if you check around.

Yeah..luckily it runs good and has a brand new clutch. Only has 85k on the car. I've been looking around for all the parts we'll need. Its a real shame. Luckily our local junk yard has a svt the same color so we're gonna get the bumper off of that. We already took the grill for our sedan and he doesn't want to take it off the car for the svt. But I found one on here for $30. Its so sad. When you look at it from the front it doesn't even look like an svt! One of the wheels is bent up too. We're gonna see if a local shop can fix it. If not we're going to get new ones for it. Its really sad how such a rare care can be destroyed like that..

Yeah I've found a lot of the parts so far. The car was missing a little bit when we let it run. But we're thinking that it either has the wrong gas or bad gas in it..

Thanks. We actually went to look at a zx3 for sale. The guy had a ton of parts and just our luck he had a svt bumper. So we bought that off him for $100 instead of the car. lol. The svt runs really good. We went and picked it up today and drove it back. Its gonna need a little work but it was worth it to own such a rare car :) Here are pics!

(The WB logo IS coming off..lol)
