wire dangling over my pedals

So i just got a some connectors over my batteries repaired or something like that because my engine wouldn't even turn over when I turned the key. It worked pretty good a few times but then one day while I was driving a wire with a thick black box at the end fell out and has been dangling over the pedals. I have some pics I'll try to up load but i really dont wanna take it to a shop if I only need to plug this thing back in. I looked around under there but I didn't really see anything obvious. Someone on here has got to have the answer

It's a switch for clutch or brake. Look over your pedals. You'll find the other half. That's the second one posted this week. I have pics of the switches, but can't post them from my Nook.
Switched to my laptop.

That looks like one of the switches above the brake pedal. It also looks like the plunger is broken. That piece should twist into a hole in the metal bracket above the brake pedal.

When you say the plunger is broken are you talking about the pics I posted? The clutch switch slid in with a good click sound so hopefully its in place for good. Could have easily kicked it out on accident wearing my hiking boots.

It looks like the clutch pedal 2 switch. Looks like the wire harness broke off the pedal switch. I think that switch is for cruise control, not sure. But if you got it back together, cool.
