Fuel filter quick disconnect

I have an '03 Focus SVT.

I am replacing the fuel filter, which I know has been discussed a lot. However my question is a bit different. I went and bought the quick disconnect tools that are supposed to work on my car, but come to find out that none of the tools do. My car has a clip that lifts up out of the line. (Not the normal white clip that breaks.) This clip is wider and you just push in the two tabs on the outside and once it lifts up a little, you can pry it up with a flat head screw driver. Then the line pulls right out.

I will post a picture when I am done.

Yeah, you don't need fuel line tools for the focus. Other fords you need line tools. Also don't break the clips, I don't think you can buy them separately.

I like these clips better, they were quite easy, and seem a little harder to break than the other Ford types. I'm sure you can't buy them separately, that would just be too easy. lol

I'm going to have to change the filter a lot since I drive a ton, so I will pray they never break.

Thanks for the reply.

From what I've found out, they seem to be all original.
