2003 heated seat and code P1518

Have two problems.
1) my driver heated seat stopped working
2) code p1518 went off. Car is running fine and not seeing any problems. All cables to the throttle are good.

Anyone else have this problems and how they fix them. Thanks

My drivers seat doesnt work either. I assume it's it the element in the seat as the switch works/operates and lights up?

Same issue as me. I'm also assuming that it's just the element. There's a write up in the how-to section on how to fix this, but I'm not too worried about it honestly. I've got other things that need to be addressed firstly.

My father is a Service Manager at a Ford Dealer close to home (Moorsville, IN/SS of Indy) so I get all my maintenance, repairs, etc done at his shop by the same Technician; who is a Ford Master Tech and SVT certified. I'm just going to get it diaged next week when I take it in for an oil change, order the part or parts and have it fixed once they come in I also have an 02 sensor to replace (bank 1 sensor 1) and I just replaced bank 2 sensor 1). Luckily I only have to pay cost for parts and the SVT Tech does the work on the side for VERY reasonable prices.

I'll let you know what was actually causing the heated seat to not work; hopefully I get VERY lucky and it's just a switch or something BUT I don't have that kind of luck.

Keep ya updated...

I'm getting my car in my in my dads service department at Community Ford in Moorsville, IN this week for an oil change, some other maintenance and a couple repairs. So I'll have him find out from his Parts Manager the part # and if he can get them/or if they are even still available.

I'll update later this week, once I find out for sure.
