How does your svt do in the morning?

My svt is kind of rough when I start it in the morning and takes so long to reach normal temperature. It vibrates a lot and has rattle in interior. Is it normal or is there anything wrong with my car? There isn't any check engine light on and it runs fine.

I live in Maine and lately its been in the single digits in the morning, when I start the car I have to give it at least 2mins. before I can drive off, no engine will run smoothly when initially started in freezing temperatures.

It warms up 5 to 10 minutes every morning... i know when its warmed up because I can hear the exhaust get quieter.

I let my water temp get too 100F before I drive it (shown on my ScanGuage), and no issues. When its cold it likes to sputter a little. Its the stock tune that does it.

Also I want to add, because my car is high mileage (140,000), I replaced the stock intake manifold couplers w/the C-F-M silicone ones, did a stock replacement of the ignition coil, and replaced the PCV valve, these three things really woke the car up and it also ran alot better on cold morning starts (This surprised me because I never had a CEL).

Mine runs like it's misfiring for a bit in the morning, and I know it's because the injectors need to be replaced for me.

Once it warms up though, it purrs wonderfully.

Back when I had the stock tune, it would run up the idle and run rough until it warmed up.

So to answer your question, yes, it is a rough idle on cold starts and cold mornings. I assume it would depend in what region your are in for how long it would take for the block to warm up.

For good measure, I wait about 3-5 minutes before I drive mine.
