Clutch pedal replacement?

Can the OEM clutch peal be removed from my 02 SVTf? I'd like to replace it with an all rubber one because my foot slips off of it occasionally when it's wet (rain, snow). I've poked my head down there but can't seem to see a way to remove the pedal. Any ideas?....

It's a clip on you can remove it, it's just a cover like any other. GL

I can't really feel any clip on the pedal.

I feel a piece of steel that is welded to the clutch arm. The clutch pedal cover plate in turn feels like its ends are wrapped around (crimped?) to the steel plate underneath. It does not feel like it will just pop off.

Am I missing something?

it comes off. but its a bitch to get off. the black rubber on the underside of the pedal is what wraps around the actual pedal. just pull on the corners one by one and itll come off with some time. or if your not gonna use it again, just cut the rubber off.

Yeah, it's just a rubber backing on the pedal cover that wraps around the pedal itself.

I pulled the rubber off my peddles and covered them with 'grip tape'. You know that tape stuff you'd see on a skateboard, that's grip tape.
Love it and won't go back ever.

I blast the heat to the floor to dry my foot and pedal off, it works pretty quickly.

I had aluminum pedals in my old car, so whenever it was wet out I put an old sock that I kept in the car over the clutch pedal. I gave me the friction I needed.

So you just removed the pedal and covered the metal plate on the clutch arm with the grip tape? Sounds interesting. Can you post a photo?
