CFM 67mm Throttlebody + unsecured air inlet hose

So I recieved my 67mm throttle body a few days back (my gifts to myself were a CFM ORP, 67mm TB, CFM STS, and Toms tune :D)
So I think it's a nice Wisconsin day to work out in the garage. It's ~35 degrees and sunny. After getting the TB removed, transferring misc parts, and putting in the new one, I got to put the air hose on.

Well low and behold it won't fit. At all. I have to remove the metal clip, and stretch the hose over the larger opening. I was thinking once I get the hose seated I should be able to pry the metal bit apart and thread it around the hose. Well that didn't work, it's approx 3/4" to short.

What I'm wondering, is it ok to leave it unsecured like that? It seems pretty snug, and not going anywhere. Or should I get like a zip tie, or some other fastener to hold it in place? Any recommendations or possible fixes used by others would be appreciated.

Thanks everyone, and I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas, or what ever it is you celebrate. :D

yeah throw 2 zip ties on there then drive down to the parts store and get a hose clamp. one of these bad Larry's ---> the zip ties are just for a little safety for a short drive, the hose clamp will be the best choice.

Well I got to autozone and picked up the new clamp. Was a lil bit too big had to cut down to size. Hose is all snug now.
Very different driving now with Tom's base tune + TB. Didn't help I had my heavy boots on too.
