Question clutch/flywheel tsb update

All,
I had the tsb for the clutch/flywheel performed (aka "rattling tranny syndrome") back in the last week of July this year. Just shortly after that (like 2 weeks later), some folks on here said that a new clutch and flywheel were introduced to fix this problem. My tranny is back to its old clicking ways again after 3K of driving on the new clutch. I have not been very hard on the clutch and performed the necessary 500 mile clutch breakin. Besides the rattle, the clutch is starting to slip again way too much. I think they may have used the "older" parts to perform the TSB. Does this theory hold water? If so, that thing is going back before I run out of consumables warrantee in 1200 miles. I'm not too sure they'd perform the TSB twice in 5K miles on the same car...

Scott

So no one on this board had the tranny TSB done before Aug 1st? I don't really think that is true...but if you did, please post and speak up about the tranny, rattle, no rattle? Mine sounds just as bad as it did before. Thanks to another thread on here earlier today, I got the new part numbers...though some folks seem to disagree with which ones are right. I guess I get to bug the ford dealer again to find out whether they will get the new parts or not even after performing this TSB. Go figure...

I have the same problem, but mine only lasted a week before the rattle returned. Mine was replaced under the TSB but with the old parts, so Im gonna call the service rep at my dealer and give her the new correct part numbers to order before i take it back in. They will fix it or heads will roll.

Cool Heads will roll...

Headless Horseman...Headless Horseman...Incabod...

Its that time of year, but I agree wholeheartedly about getting the clutch parts up to date.
