part out values

if i can't sell my '04 SVT Focus 5-door in a reasonable time, i'll considering parting out. and i'm kinda considering doing a doing an LSX/RWD conversion anyway.

car is an '04 w/ 210k. black, blue insert seats. audiophile stereo, sunroof. couple minor dents on hood and a door or 2. one fog light is busted. interior is damn near perfect, one stain that will probably clean out of front passenger seat, shift knob is worn.
clutch, ruck, and struts have about 50k on them. timing belt done(again) about 20k ago.

i know it's high mileage, but everything works. this was a buddy's wife's daily driver since brand new. motor doesn't knock or smoke. trans works great, no grinds.

if i decided to do RWD swap, what are the stock drivetrain parts(motor/trans/axles/ECU) worth?

how about all the other stuff if i decided to part out completely? seats, bumpers, brakes, etc.

just weighing options at this point.

at that mileage you'd probably make more money parting it out

I would part it out.

Front/rear brakes complete $350 a set
Complete head if good $300-$400
Complete intake manifold and rail/injectors $150-200
Interior seats and cards $450+(not totally sure probably more)

That's just a few things. Get into all the other engine parts other interior/dash stuff and body parts and it goes up, up, up. It can be a pain to tear things down and ship though.

If you decide to part I wanna get the rear brake setup. And you are just in Waller. I'd come remove them for you(pick a part lol).

my thoughts exactly. normal mileage SVTF's seem to be going for 4k pretty commonly nowadays. and mine has a buuunch more.

what's your rear brake offer?

what ya need?

if i can get 2k of shit 'sold pending partout', i'd likely do it.
basically, motor, trans, axles, rear suspension/brakes, cluster/ECU can go. anything i won't/can't use in a conversion essentially, even the seats as i'd be replacing those. if i can part the whole thing out for 2500 total pretty easily, i'd do that, too and just forget i even thought of the project. haha.

only reason i'm considering this is i'd like to free up some capital to focus on my mustangs and get a lift put in my shop. and i honestly doubt i'd get good use out of this car as a daily as i am hauling something 75% of the time that requires my truck bed.

You're close to $2k just in the parts I mentioned. I know front/rear bumpers and skirts if intact probably net you close to another $1k. Trans if good maybe in the $300-$500+. I know a member on here just got a complete rear brake kit a month or so ago from a seller on here for $350 and it had new rotors. Btw complete means spindles, dust shields, calipers, caliper mounting brackets, rotors, lines and ebrake. Like I said I'd even come help take it off ;) The kit when new was about $500 from Tousley Ford. Consider this my pending offer. If you decide to part let me know what we can work out. Who knows, if you do and have soothing sleepyboy needs we may come together to see ya ;)

the rotors are good, but pads are down to like 1 or 2mm all the way around.

bumpers are perfect, front has 210k miles worth of rock chips. i thought the 5-doors didn't have SVT-specific skirts?

i leave for Vegas tuesday, back saturday. i'll keep y'all updated. i'll likely part it just bc finishing it and driving doesn't seem like a worthwhile investment. sometimes the sum of the parts is more than the hole. lol.

Vegas! Alright. Have a good time.

Not sure about the skirts. Forgot you had a 5 door. Not worried about pads. Just wanna get rid of my damn rear drums. Especially since I just bought some nice new 17" rims.

The 5 doors didn't come with any but a lot of folks bought them and put them on. Wanna trade drivers seats? Mines broken on the bottom part lol. Leans a little, it's not noticeable unless I get in my other focus and right back into the SVT. Really I need cosmetic pieces like the mirrors, shiny door trim on the out side, brake lights, and various other little things. I would like the front brake kit. Oh and when buying used brake parts it's best not to reuse the old rotors and pads. I'm just a firm believer in that. I have a laundry list of things. Though I have no "real" capital to work with till after the new year. Personally if it has a clean title and is in good shape I'd get it going again.
