Angry HELP! Car won't start

Okay, so this all happened tonight as I was going home. Working properly all day, as soon as I got on the highway this started happening:
  • While driving, I noticed that my ASB light, traction control light and airbag lights turned on. I kept going on the highway.
  • As I exit the highway, my gauges started to fall to zero while in motion.
  • The lights on the gauges were dimming.
  • As I tried to get off the main street, I used my turn signal, and my lights remained blinking after I had turned the signal off.
  • Car eventually turned off. About less than 5 min after i first started sensing problems.
  • Tried restarting the car, but car was not turning on, as if the battery was dead.

Any ideas what this could mean? Alternator?

Thanks for your help!

I had issues like that and after 3 alternators it turned out to be the wires, but that doesn't mean that's whats wrong with yours but it's something to look at. Also look at the plug that plugs into the alternator it might have gotten one of the wires pulled out, it's been known to happen before.

I know of several instances where the wires weren't corroded at the ends, rather, in the middle under the insullation. I'd used an GOOD volt meter with ohms or resistance measurement and see if theyre good.

I know for sure the battery cables on these cars are notorious for random electrical issues. I personally burnt through 2 starters before i just spent the $50 for the cable and replaced them. Took about an hour on the lift.
