tried to fix dsi cable...

put a screw in it where the little plastic tab broke off. unplugged batt. to re set computer now when I start the car it makes that terriable noise for like 4 or five seconds and stops.but now chech engine light is on ...some help here please.replaceing the intake is my last resort.anybody got the hookup on oem ford parts?

Dont the just replace the box and the cable and not the entire manifold?

I dont think theres any thing wrong with the cable or the box ...but the tab that the cable on the intake is what broke

I talked to ford they said they would be happy to take my $$$$$$
I m knida low on cash as of right now...Id like to be able to fix this with out throwing hundreds of dollars @ it

This is the problem that I had. Because it is plastic, the intake manifold has to be replaced. The DSI cable connects to the intake manifold via a plastic nipple that is part of the manifold itself. That nipple is what broke off. Therefore, the entire manifold has to be replaced. On other threads people have said that the plastic clip that connects the cable to the manifold was what had broken, I should be so lucky.
