awful sound from driverside wheelwell/under the battery

I started my car today after being in a store for a while and noticed an awful sound coming from, what I think under my battery or in the driver side wheel well. PLEASE HELP!!! if its my DSI cable can disable by removing a fuse in the meantime while Im getting drving to the dealership tommorrow? Or is the sound the tranny, I have not seen any loss in transmission function so Im at a loss for what the sound might be. Any helpe would be appreciated.

Yes it is your DSI cable almost certainly. Lots of us have had that problem. It sounds really unpleasant but I think it's safe to drive the car to the dealer - the noise is just the end of the cable slapping around because it broke off at the end from the DSI switch assembly.

The dealer had my car for at least a week if not longer but some of that was a delay in getting the parts.

My car is at the dealership right now and they actually have the part on the way. So if everything goes to plan I get my car back tonight.

I believe it is the cable that switches between the long and short intake runners.
