Talking K&N Typhoon is awesome *PICS*

Just got my K&N Typhoon kit for my 04 SVT from Tony at Newedgeperformance. This thing is awesome. Besides the geniune K&N filter, I got the red polished intake tube and this kit has all the nuts, bolts, washers and even came with the torque wrench needed to remove the MAF from the stock setup. I considered the Steeda which is about $35 cheaper but I think the K&N setup looks more superior, plus it's colored just like my car.

Also, this kit came with the heat shield which helps a little to guard against engine heat and takes advantage of the inlet from the front of the hood to draw more cold air into the filter. My Red SVTF with the polished red intake tube and a red K&N filter, my engine bay looks really cool.

I found this kit cheaper at a couple of other places, as much as $25 cheaper, but I wanted to give Tony my business since he is a great guy to deal with and very easy to talk to. He is not some big corporate sales person over the phone taking my money. He owns a couple of SVTF's himself and is an enthusiast just like the rest of us and I would support a guy like that over saving $25 anyday.

So if you guys need anything, give him a try at www.newedgeperformance.com and if he doesn't have it, he will get it for you...

Some pics are on the 2nd page of this thread.

In my opinion, the car would seem to accelerate faster and smoother. Also the sound of air being sucked into the engine while revving is awesome.

Plus it looks great too.

I think it relocates MAF and maybe helps with the "surge" from the short ram design.
