SVT cert or NOT?

Alright guys I'm sorry once again for the outbreak(s) yesterday. Got a question rather wondering opinions. I went to two SVT dealers yesterday and they would not reflash for me nor would they recognize the rattling exhaust. I got fed up and took it to a nonSVT certified service department and they already have my car back to me as good as new. They gave me a loaner, wash and vacuum. They provided SVT caliber service with out all the hassle.

Why can't I take it to a nonSVT dealer? Is that just for straight up mechanical type probs. or is it ok to take them my car if I want an oil change?

TEAM FORD Humble Texas, nicest service dept I've ever had the honor to grace with my presence.

Seems to me if you're happy with the work from the latter Dealer,
why not take it back there if you need additional service?
It seems to be a rather rare occurence anymore that anyone has a happy Dealer experience.

I'm not an authority about exactly what a Dealer does to become SVT certified,
but I'm sure there is some additional training on SVT specific vehicles.

That's my feelings on it. I was just reading three other threads where everyone is warning people of the idjets at normal dealers. Was wondering if that was the general concensus of this forum.

Well I don't think that a Certified Dealer means anything. They have read some books and watched some videos on how to sell them. That is what makes them certified. So if they are certified to sell them that means ceritifed to work on them. HA.
I just got mine back a couple of weeks ago after they replaced the Triggerhappy Driver seat airbag. When they removed the seat to put new parts and cover on it they poked a hole in the vinyl in my door and scratched up the threshhold and B pillar plastics. Them when they put it back in they left the Track molding un fastened and the rear threshhold is not right either. They ordered three Airbag modules because they couldn't find the right part number.

Talking about a joke. Good thing they couldn't get a hold of me to survey the service performed.

if your an experienced mechanic you can work on any car svt or not. when it comes to the flashes and what not i see where some latter dealerships might not have those in there inventory.
