NEON for SVTF trade today

Okay so I couldn't take it anymore. I've been an SVTF owner since they first came out. Paid out the butt for it and now I'm taking it in the you know what. Took the car to the dealer today, Joe Meyers in Houston Tx. I'd been trying to justify the rattles and noises I heard for a while now and have come to terms with myself. THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG. Didn't really bother me too much until I turned off the radio, not to mention reading all of the other posts about surging and cold start probs. and rattling that could be the flywheel, clutch or a number of other things. Battery died yesterday on a 5 hour trip. I never thought I'd have to use Roadside assistance owning a new ford.

Long story short I requested all of the computer updates and asked them to look into the rattling. I'm thinking about just keeping the NEON they gave me for a loaner. It's quiet at idle, it doesn't surge and it's just as slow. (Embelished that last one a little).

I hope to god they don't do like the dealers up in Nebraska "That's how it's supposed to sound" or "Ford designed it to knock a little that's the cam advancing and retarding itself"

SURE THING BUDDY. If this keeps up I'm going to sell the hunk of junk and get a Mazda 6.

Anybody else out there feeling like this. What will $19,959.00 get you? A MASSIVE HEADACHE!!

Oh yeah I've ran Full synthetic since 4000 which is what SVT recommended. They said not to put it in before 4000 so that it would give the rings proper tempature to seat. ONLY 13742 mile on this hunk of crap.

DUUHHH That's what the SVTF is supposed to sound like. They wont even update my ECU or PCM. They say there is nothing wrong with it. Anyone in houston know of a good dealer that will FIX my piece of junk for me?

Wow, i think that ive actually heard more negatives about the SVTF then positives to date. Is it really that bad? The only thing that i can tell about my car, is a tiny bit of surging (very tiny). Other then that power is smooth, no noises, no problems. Pending it is an 04 and still very new (and not an SVT), it seems like the more you pay for a focus the more problems there will be.

Nope im not feeling like that.......have not had a problem.....only thing i have done is get the reflash and that was just for the hell of it.......i didnt actually have a problem...............that knocking youre hearing could just be normal, or it could be the fly wheel...............how long have you had the car and how many miles are on it?

Oh yeah, and that neon was not even close to as fast as an SVT....................

Don't be frightened....there's always some people that have problems, and some that exaggerate their problems (look up)...anyways, it really is a great car, especially the 04, most of the problems are gone, so go for it

I'm starting to get doubts in my SVTF too... the check engine light turn on and they've kept it for 2 weeks now... So far they've replaced the battery, alternator, and now the wiring harness.
