Question Any Aftermarket Flexpipe for SVTF ?!?!

Hi all,

I already posted a thread about my buzzing flexpipe. I got it checked by a ford mechanic and confirmed what some people and I said. After having my cat back replaced by a magnaflow one, the sound frequency got so deep that the flex couldn't handle it ! I mean it's working fine but the sound is so #$_)*@# annoying and make me feel driving some dying tuned civic.
Well, I need your help guys in choosing an aftermarket flexpipe as I don't wanna get the factory one once again. The only thing that is not aftermaket in my exhaust system (ORP+Magnaflow) is the flexpipe. I tried to shop around but I didn't find any flexpipe that's made and advertised for the SVT Focus... Only zetec zetec and ZETEC

Would you please help me out

Have you tried tuning the flexpipe?

Put a stainless-steel circle clamp around the middle of it and give it a squeeze. This should theoretically allow you to change it's resonant peak. The clamp should be a couple of dollars.

Note the theoretically part, I've never done this. And if it works, please do let us know. We could start a band or something...

Thank you all for the quick replies... I really appreciate it !

I'm not willing to tune my existing flexpipe as I want a 100% aftermaket High flow stainless steel exhaust system...
Here is a link where I found some flexpipes but I'm not sure if they can go on the SVT model : http://www.modernperformance.com/all/flexjoints.shtml
Would you guys take a look and tell what do you think about it considering that I have an ORP + 2.25" Magnaflow cat back. If there is any possibility to install one of these aftermarket high flow flexpipes... please make me know the brand and what does it need to get installed

Thanks again guys...

Your stock flex pipe is a quality 2.26" stainless steal peice. Are you sure its not your orp that is broken on the "wings" that is causing the vibration? Usually what happens is the orp breaks off where the wings are mounted to the stock cat mounting location. Check that out around that area. If it is really just your flex pipe, get a new one, its just as good if not better than anything you have found for the zetec.
