Figured out the majority of the SURGE

I was testing all possible ideas how to get rid of that annoying surge and all it took were some new spark plugs. I took out the motorcraft ones, and they looked like I put about 70,000 miles on them (I have 18,000). Finally, I put my AEM back on and after warm up there is just slight sign of the surge, but nothing like what was affecting the car before. I still can't believe what the spark plugs looked like, wish I had pictures but I threw them away asap. Platinium's work great.

Interesting.
So, what brand/type plugs did you put in?

Heads up, there is a new set of TSB's that have been recently released, I believe I saw one or more related to a surging problem. You might want to take a look.

Something new? Newer than the "talked to death" YRF0 reflash?

What is a TSB? And if the spark plugs helped a bit, what kind did you use?

Spark plugs will not help most, actually Im very surprised it helped at all. Its a problem with the SVT Focus, and I guess SVT is STILL trying to get it solved. They brought in Microsoft to help with the YRF0, but a lot are still having the problem...maybe they should bring in SCT, they seemed to have it licked.

Borsch Platinium Plugs, are what I used and make sure they are gapped tight to .050 because the motorcraft ones were loose to .055 and about a little past.
