3rd gear

Has any one ever noticed that 3rd gear is a hard gear to get into some times? I really only notice this on the up shift and very little on the down.

Not proud to admit this but I miss 3rd some times cous it pops like it went into 3rd but there is another pop just a little further ahead you could say. Ive gotten used to it now but every once in a while it seems a bit more work related to get it into third than I would like. I shift a bit more agressively into third now so I know I landed it in it's proper home. I have 4,000miles on my car now and it just seems to be the same as when I got it Last Year.

May be I'm just nuts, but I just am curiouse If any one else might have noticed it and if it gets easier down the road some where?

I'd say just take it in to be looked at, especially since you're still under warrenty. If it doesn't feel right, it generally isn't right. Get it checked out.

No problems with 3rd here.
2nd, is the hardest gear for me.
It is a bit touchy when shifting at redline.
More than likely, it's related to the "loose" rear motor mount.

Hmm, no problems with 3. Probably the smoothest shift in the pattern for me. Now 5th, that takes some effort- really requires a shove to the right to catch 5.

Give it a few more miles, mine use to pop out all the time, but the more miles I put on the car, the better it got, around 9K it became butter. Take it easy too...dont BANG the gears hard, you can still shift just as fast with out doing it as hard.

it seems people with factory trans and replaced trans have the same prob, so maybe it aint really a prob at all, just a inherant thing w/ the getrag, or maybe im nuts. who knows. i know i have probs with 1st on occasion, but thats it.
