Mod Decisions-Gift Certificate

Well, I got the "longest distance traveled" prize for our recent Mt Rushmore G2G.
Just in case you missed it....
2004 Mt Rushmore G2G
2004 Mt Rushmore Prizes

So, with the products offered by FocusSport, and my $25 gift certificate,
this is what I've come up with.
1)VF Engineering rear motor mount
2)Steeda Short Shifter (though it's not listed on their website as a product they stock)
3)ITG air filter

What would you do?
Frankly, I can't see getting the shifter, before I improve the rear motor mount first.
I know, get BOTH, but as mentioned, I don't think they carry the shifter.
I also haven't seen much discussion on that ITG filter, but I kind of like it.

Any other suggestions?
As you can tell, I want to keep my car more or less stock looking, hence no SRI/CAI listed in my choices.
Actually, I wasn't going to mod at all....but I've been bitten by the BUG!

Man the Short shifter is on the home page of Steeda in the lower right hand side of the pics of there products marked as. Steeda Tri/Ax Short Throw shifter for SVT Focus.

GET THE SHORTY WD I know you like it, you sat in my car and shifted with it a few times. So be it that it was dry shifts. Just think about all the shifts you make a day in your car and if you landed those gears faster how much more effeciently you could shift.

Any ways lets face it you know how to shift your car properly and your running Auto-X, you don't seem to be slapping your motor against the fire wall to often couse your doing the quarter mile. Suppose just for cosmetics this would be EYE candy and not some thing you could benefit from.

The air filter for the most part is a good one and I would second the filter to the STS.

Ok now I have said my peace now and I hope you make the good and right decision, get the shorty. Man I should work for Citibank. Friendly, persuasive, and helpfull, hey thats me I just talked my self into applieing. Hahaha I like that commercial.

I myself like the engine mount more than the shifter. the shifter shortened throws and that is all. Maybe a .02 second reduction per shift. However the engine mount does a lot more and is cheaper. The mount will increase your acceleration b/c it gets rid of the excess engine movement thus putting power to the ground. It also helps to strengthen the stabilitly of the engine. I have both of the mods you mentioned and so far the engine mount is still my favorite.

Thanks for the replies!
Looks like I may just get all 3 for the heck of it.
I just found out (in the latest SVT Enthusiast mag)...
Your member number gets you a 10% discount when ordering directly from Steeda.

I did the sts as first mod it is well worth the money.

As for your gift certificate i would go with the ITG filter and maybe remove the mini snorkel (just for sound)
