SVT exhaust options

I was just wondering what experiences anyone has had with aftermarket exhaust on their svt. I am thinking of getting one and would like to know which are best. Also how much it will increase preformance to see if it is worth getting it now or later after other mods.

The only thing you will get with an aftermarket exhaust is a different sound...the stock exhaust is about as good as it gets, not worth your money to upgrade.

I don't have an SVT, but I do have the MBRP SVT exhaust. The system is pretty good. It tends to be a little on the loud side, but I have a race header (I guess much like an SVT) and no cat. The quality is excellent, the tip looks very nice, the fitment is really good. And I believe it has a 5 year warrantee on it. Also they may still be on special for $229 which is a damn good price for an exhaust.

only get an aftermarket catback exhaust for your SVT if you're disatisfied with the sound. Other than that, you can look to eliminate the cat if you want to squeeze any more performance out of it. Ford has already done the easy stuff via long tube headers, wider exhaust throughout, etc.

I'm actually quite impressed with the rumbly growl of the SVT. Not ricey (bees in a coffee can) at all.

Yah I would get an ORP if it werent for one thing. I live in California and we have a lot of stupid smog regulations. How hard would it be to change the ORP if I were to use it and just switch it back when I needed to get it smoged?

wow, didn't think the SVT exhaust was that great. I figured an aftermarket exhaust was necessary. No one notices any hp gains from adding on an aftermarket exhaust (specifically magnaflow/borla) ? I would have to agree with enigma, i really like the tip on the stock exhaust too :)
