Question When you rev the engine in neutral is it normal to hear a popping sound from exhaust?

I'll rev and release above 2K RPM's and I hear a popping sound from the tailpipe. Is this normal?

Most cars with a free flowing exhaust will make that noise.

The SVT stock exhaust included.

it's really prevelant on the MBRP exhaust, no matter what Focus application it is on. Especially present on spindown while in gear and not braking. VERY NICE!

Someone explain to me exactly what an ORP is? I've always thought it was pretty much a straight-through, no cats/mufflers, etc.
