SVT Success Story! 10,000 miles

Just thought I'd pass on a success story for a change.

I just hit 10,000 miles this morning on the way to work.
Haven't had any reason to go back to the dealer for any warranty work at all.
No clutch problems.
No tranny problems.
No battery/starting/charging problems.
No alignment issues.
No nothing.
(I'm knocking on wood, and praying at the same time right now)

The car just keeps running better and better, as well as the gas mileage keeps improving.
I've also competed in 8 AutoCross events now, so I haven't necessarily been babying it.

The only 2 little annoyances I do have:
1) Very minor surging at 2,000-3,000 in 2nd or 3rd gear.
However, it's nothing near what I've heard folks describe on their 02's and 03's.
When it does happen, is when I've driven for a while, and make a quick stop for gas or something like that.
The first 5 minutes or so after starting it up is when the surge happens.
After that 5 minutes, it's gone for good.

2) Rear lower control arm bushings squeak occasionally.
It's got to be the amount of dust on our dirt roads.
A quick squirt of the hose on the undercarriage gets rid of the squeaks.

Sorry about the pic quality, but I only had 1 mile to get in a good shot.

That's a dedicated owner right there. Not only did you anticipate the roll over, but you brought a camera with you to record and celebrate the occasion.

On a similar note. I looked down one day and said to myself, "Crap! 100,012, how the hell did I miss that?"

Glad to see you were getting about 20mpg on that tank. Is that about what you average?

Mine has 22K, I have had my front struts and tie rod ends replaced, replaced all four tires, wiper no longer goes into park(they stay up), now my tranny is starting to make a noise.

I have a really good relationship with my service department.

Thanks folks!
Just a couple responses:

Actually, that's a lot closer to 24mpg. The gauge reads pretty accurately.
180 miles on 3/4 tank equals 240 just before it hits reserve.
I've kept track long enough now to know that the reserve light comes on after 10.2 gallons have been "sucked up".
My average city (commute) has been 24-26, and highway is at 30-33+.

Guess again. I just turned a good caliber this year....as in 45.
