wrong oil!

I was just cleaning out my wallet and realized that with my last oil change they put in 10w30 oil in instead of 5w30. I asked my buddy and he said you should be ok because it has been hot outside and the oil will thin. I have been running this (10w30) in my engine for about 2000 miles now. Should I get it changed immediately or can I wait till 3000 miles? Let me know. Thanks

From what I am hearing, the SVT supplement recommends 5w-30. I don't actually have the supplement though to confirm this.

Yes, the SVT manual calls for 5w-30, but a lot of dealerships will put 5w-20 in...

10W30 won't hurt you...In fact it will lub better....You will have more resistance inside the engine and you will loose a minute amount of power.

In my MR2 race car I could feel a big difference in the oils.
