Diff between ZX3 TB and SVT TB

Whats the main few differences between a ZX3 Throttle body and a SVT throttle body if you were to look at both stock throttle bodies?

Is a ZX3 Throttle body interchangable with a SVT throttle body, spacing, pattern, size?

Whats the diff?!

Thanks!

Im not an expert but my best guess would be that the 2 engines are different sizes so thats y the throttle body is different depending on air flow? iono i might sound like an idiot on this one but thats my best guess lol.. i think the spacing and szie would be different because of engine size and airflow.

Both engines are 2.0L but the SVT TB is 66 mm. The ZX3 TB is 58 mm.

As for being interchangable, I would say NO, if you look at the design of say the FC ones, they are totally different. The SVT one is very small in height compared to the ZX3 version. Also, why would you want to put a ZX3 TB which is 'smaller' on a SVT? You will loose performance by doing that (well the better response).

No, totally different.... the ZX3 ones sit near the middle back of the 'engine' where the SVT ones sit to the back right side of the 'engine'....

Pics will show it, see where the 'intake' tube starts, that is just above the TB.

ZX3 TB position.......

http://www.focusfanatics.com/gallery...sort=1&cat=all

It's just below the VOLANT tube.....

SVT TB position........

http://www.focusfanatics.com/gallery...sort=1&cat=all

Only pic I could find on here that was decent, stock intake.....

Sorry about the links, the pic [img] thing doesn't work for me, can't 'hotlink' images the same way from the photo gallery on here.....
