just bought an svt. MODS????

im looking to do an exhaust before snowfall. what is the best sounding muffler since i plan on going header to orp to pipe to muffler?

second. which short throw is the best

third - will a throttle body help the 1st gear bog?

4th - i know everyone says get a tune and i plan on it in time. but does it really do all that much?

Of all the mods you listed, the tune is by FAR the mod that will make the most difference.
That should be THE #1 mod before anything...period...end of story.
Then for #2;
Tighten up the shifting with an aftermarket rear mount coupled with a STS.
(See the "Read First" thread at the top for information and the "How-To's" for the above items)
Then for #3;
Drive it. Forget anything else until you get used to how well these cars work right out of the box.
You'll know where you want to proceed (if at all) after that.

Oh...

is the tune just plug it in and go? my friend is trying to convince me that i need a wideband if i tune it. that doesnt make sense to me. but then again im new to tuning, never done it.

what brand short throw is best and ACTUALLY a short throw.

and for exhaust... borla or magnaflow? or which other will sound the best.

orp or stock cat with whatever exhaust?

i also want a cool shift knob, no momo knobs they are retarded lol

No, you don't need a wideband.
Tom will set up a 95% good "base tune", and then fine tune it from there using datalogs from the tuning unit itself.
Best bet is to send him a PM, and he'll answer any questions you have.
Here's his contact info:

Your other questions can be answered by doing a little ahead of time reading in this forum area, and then come back if you have anything further to ask.

Yup, Jake's friend.

My opinion, I would go with FSWERKS.

That stuff is all up to you, no cat-back is going to give you any performance gains so it's all up to what sound you like best.

I have an ORP as part of my exhaust system...That's all the help I can really offer on that.
