stuble at take off

what causes the svt focus to stumble when taking off until it hits about 3000 rpms. feels like a hesitation and then kicks in all of the sudde?

That would be the dreaded SVT First Gear bog.

There are a few things to help with that.

1st - a Tune. There is a guy on here name Tom that could be of assistance with that.

2nd - Larger TB (Throttle Body). The 67mm from CFM is pretty good.

3rd - Lighter Flywheel.

Probably in that order, you will take out that bog like nothing. Some people don't even do the Flywheel and get the bog out.

intake manifold runner stuck open?

see my las two posts, may be that will be your problem too.

a tune is also good to, but if your MIRC and DSI are broken you will still have lack of power in the low end RPM

i looked at your post. i replaced that 5 months ago. my car doesnt jerk at all. it just feels like the power is not their in first gear when i take off from dead stop. other gears seem fine though. i will take a look at it and see if that is the problem. might just be me overreacting to to the first gear bog.
