Recommendations for first mods?

I have a 2002 SVT, bone stock. Im looking to add a couple of mods and i just wanted to here what people think. Im looking into a new intake, not sure whether to go with a CAI, or a RAI. And id like to here what people thing about intake manufacturers (preferences, pros and cons). Im also looking into an exhaust of some sort. What are your thoughts on a Trubendz Borla setup? Any help or insight would be appreciated.

suspension hands down. By far the best mod I've done to my svt. Shocks/springs, front and rear sways, front and rear strut bars, full polyurethane bushings kit, and motor mount insert. You'll love the look on high end car owners faces when they slowly disappear on the back roads :)

As SkyPilot mentioned, check the Read First thread at the top for engine mods.
Specifically, this one:
SVT Performance Upgrades *opinionated*

In regards to your intake question, SVT did a really nice job with the stock setup.
Drop in a K&N or ITG air filter, and you'll be good to go.
A short ram intake won't add any power, and will actually lose some when it gets hot out.
A cold air (see AEM) barely adds a couple ponies, but along with the negligible power gain,
you run the risk of sucking up water and killing the engine.

As far as suspension mods if you so desire (this section is for engine discussions) see this forum area for what others have done:
Wheels, Tires, Brakes & Suspension

And...happy modding!

If you are open to all suggestions, I would say to get a tune. I got Tom’s tune and it totally changed the way my car drives (better drivability, more power, less bog…) Plus, with Tom, as you add more (CAI, TB, Exhaust…) he will give you free updates.

Take a look at SVT owners review
