Wink doing some mods, pros and cons of them

I am looking at a short throw shifter, a off road pipe, and a dsp.

I am wondering what is bad about these and really what are there advateges overall. Thanx Guys

I'll comment on the first 2, although I'm sure if you search you will find plenty of previous posts on the subject.

Short throw shifter
Advantages: A short throw, potentially quicker shifts and it looks cool
Disadvantages: The effort required to change gear increases the shorter you go.

Off Road Pipe
Advantages: Reduces exhaust system losses, liberating some additional HP (5 or so)
Disadvantages: You have removed a piece of the emissions control system, which is illegal in some states. You will need an MIL cheater or tune to prevent your Check Engine Light from comming on. You are greatly increasing the pollution from your car.

Sts=shorter shifts
Hfc=less restriction and more power
Dsp=capable of tuning the factory power band. Eliminate the hfc check engine light and future tunes as well.

Do them all:). I had all these on my old SVT until it got wrecked. Bight a new stock svt an was highly frustrated with the feel o it. Finished swapping the parts over an everything is good again.
