Theres an old saying..

You get out of something what you put in.

If you let your car go 90k without chaning the timing belt, you asked for it.

i think its funny cause you all think you know so much about cars in general bahhahahha

and ya maybe its karma, i run the piss out this car and bought it less then 7k ago, but prior to this epic failure, it was stuck in forth for about 2 months also...

and yes these engines are non freewheeling, which means pure hell arises when the timing belt snaps

im changing timing belts now at 60k...

A couple of things bud... If you pay attention and read you will find that a lot of these guys know a lot about not just these cars, but cars in "General". I get pissed about my car sometimes also, but don't get on here and make sarcastic remarks about the people who know these cars best. Don't get on this forum if they don't satisfy you intelect. These guys are good people and help.

Oh, there is this thing I like to call preventative maintence. Try it and maybe your car won't snap a belt. I pulled my dust cover off my timing belt at 85,000, and saw that it was cracking.... Guess what I did the timing belt that weekend.

I know you said you are going to start changing them sooner, but don't bash these guys. You should have learned a lesson here..
