Before i buy "SVT" question (Also Need a CarFax Run)

Well guys and girls. I have a job interview and if all goes well i will be buying a new SVT in the next two weeks or so. I'm going to call the guy up as the car has been sitting a month and i want her. Question is, Is the price ok and what are the major faults with the SVT that i should check before giving this guy a dime off the lot.

As always, go check it out before you make any decisions.. Its going to need a new timing belt soon, as well as any other work it may need, so take that into consideration.

But, ill agree the price is a bit high, id say 8k is more reasonable.

KBB states 9,100 is excellent condition. Of course i would show them that, If i buy it for 98 they are taking it to Ford for a full inspection and Timing belt job,including water pump.

Are you sure the timing belt needs to be done soon? It is only at 55,000 miles? With this SVT and all SVT, read up on common issues. Clutch Master Cylinder, O2 Sensor, Thermostat, Catalytic Converter heat shields, etc.

5 DOOR YELLOW EAP = sexy.

10 is a little high but it looks good other then price. Timing belt is scheduled for 100k irc.

I know the timing belt service in the Ford Manual is 100K miles. I'm so paranoid that i did our Zx3 at 85.

Right, But if im going to pay 9800 and were talking financing here because i cannot pull 9800 out of my ass lol. They are going to promise me something for 10K as thats 700 over the KBB value.

The timing belt should be changed A LOT sooner than 100k mi on the SVTF. It's the normal Zetec that as that 100k mi change interval, SVTF's should be changed @ 60-80k mi
