mods- how big of difference do they make

i am looking at a svt zx5 and it has a few things done to it. just wondering how big of impact they have or if i should put the stock stuff back on. the seller has the stock stuff so it wont be hard to switc back. so here are the mods

ford racing short throw shifter
smaller undrive pulley
stiffer rear sway bar
solid engine mount
short "cold air intake" (AEM)

i think thats it, it also has some aftermarket rims on it and he does not have the stock ones, but i can sell the aftermarket rims and buy some euro rims.

thanks

I can only speak for the short shifter and a short ram intake, but I love having both of those on. The intake just gives a better feel and the shifter makes shifting much nicer. I wouldn't change those.

I agree, intake and shortthrow shifter are good. Solid engine mounts are good but they rattle the crap out of everything, it doesnt bug me much though. I would probably just leave all that on there.

i have a steeda short throw, i think it is a great improvement over the stock shifter. i don't think i would return it to stock ever.

just a question with the short throw shifter...first does it have any long term damage on the transmission (wear it out, grinds, etc..), and also does it void the warranty? i have the 10yr/100k mile warranty and was going to get the 150k mile warranty as well, but i wont put the short shifter on if it voids it

ANY mods to a cars drivetrain will void the warranty, unless it is specifically installed by the dealership, and it is included in the warranty.

Thats not necessarily so. The mods have to be the cause the warranty issue, or the service must be performed under warranty. An example would be, if you have an aftermarket short throw shifter, and your starter goes out while the car is in warranty, the dealer must still service the car under the normal warranty guidlines. If your transmission went tits up, then thats another story!
