looking at a few svt's to buy

i hope this is where i should be posting this,

i am looking for a SVTF, not asking for people to PM about their car, if you want to thats cool, but thats not the purpose of the thread, anyways.

i have a few questions, i have looked at a lot on line and i have recently found one that is intresting, it is a 2003 euro svt with 105k on it. fresh suspension, brakes, bushings, and serp belt. its comp orange, which might be a detracting factor over a plus, i think i like the color but not to sure i would like it everyday. they are asking $6600, which is not too bad but more than a lot of other people have their cars at with that mileage. the clutch was also done about 2500 ago. so with this being the "euro" version, is there any difference besides the rims and interior? any info and input would be awesome. heres the cl ad

thanks

Looks nice... I'm sure u can low ball him and see if he bites lol.

Have a mechanic check it over and such as with any car... Drive it, see how the clutch feels, etc.

so i found another focus in the area that is a rebuilt title, it was a theft car, which concerns me, but it only has 67k on it, has a new serp belt, new o2 sensor, plugs, wires, coils, tires, and it looks pretty good. its black with the blue interior which i like. how hard is it to find the projector style headlights that some poeple have and was that a svt option? thanks for the help.

The Orange EAP SVT looks like one of our members. It looks well taken care of.
Orange and Yellow are two of the most rear colors on the focus'. I would highly consider the first one. I would not want a rebuilt title.

the black car with the rebuilt title was inspected by the state and cleared, so i think that sould mean that it is pretty good, i heard they are pretty strict on stuff. i was thinking that a black svt with gold stock 5 spokes would be a good look. thanks for all the input. i really apperciate it.

I believe rebuilt title no matter the conditions means you lose like 30-50% resell value right off the top.

the comp orange svt is a nice find... there werent many made and youd have the eap packagae. For over 100k miles (assuming the timing belt, clutch, water pump, etc was already replaced) I wouldnt be looking to pay over 6k for it. I just sold an 03 with almost every wearout replaced and some real nice mods in good shape with 97kish on it for $5300 but it didnt have the eap package (european appearance package... they have leather recaro seats, hid headlights, recero 15 spokes, traction control, heated seats, moon roof).

well i have been close to buy three SVTF's now, and they have all fallen through. i am looking at one more that is promising. it is a 2004, with the HID's, no EAP though, it has 100k on it, and the owner is a mechanic. it looks good, and sounds like the owner took good care of it. he did say that his dog chewed the e brake handle up, how hard is it to replace the e brake handle? i found the part on ebay already.
