if you wanted to convert to dual exhaust...

where would be the best place to do that? find a shop that custom welds?

also, the whole power loss part of it... how?

and i couldt find an answer before but searched on google and found a y-pipe, but didnt find any for sale.

the whole reason i ask is simply cuz how stupid would a DE body kit look with one pipe??

If it were me the easiest way would be to go to an exhaust shop or do it yourself.
Remove the rear resonator(lunch box) < Thats what i call them, Then use a Camaro muffler just run from the stock exhaust to a 90 degree bend then attach to the new muffler then two 90's out.It would be on the other side because the focus exits on the driver side but you could flip the muffler.
picture makes more since. see what Im saying

i mean, first, i think the care would look better with a dual, but at the same time, i wanna race this car, and just getting into autocross, so..... spend a ton for looks, or spend it all on slightly better performance?

i think the looks can wait. plus, the r34 body kit was just a suggestion from someone in texas, an even trade, and he hasn't pm'd me back yet. toledo to texas.... ha. i would have a ton of work just to get the kit if it was final. this is just hypothetical, ya know?

your car looks good, btw.

if i do get the kit, then i will go to every decent car shop around and ask for pricing. thanks for the help all.

Best bet is to get a y pipe for best exhaust flow for a dual exhaust setup. The reason it could loose power is because, being a 4 cylinder you only have one header; as apposed to a v6/8 which has 2. With one header it is more efficient to run a straight exhaust to the back, instead of splitting it off in the middle into 2 pipes going back. At this split it would cause restrictions; not saying you will loose a crazy amount of hp, maybe 1-2.. u probably wont even feel it. I personally love the way the svt looks with dual exhaust.

You got called a ricer cause you didn't have it done right. There were exhaust leaks and it sounded like arse.

Why not get a rear bumper that is not DE then? If the only reason you want DE is that the bumper requires it...that's a little stupid.

You don't want to save your money for performance?

Dual exhaust outlets would look good if the used an SVT rear bumper and cutout a second hole in the diffuser. I'd totally do one (and eventually might) on my SVT.
