Adjustable timing gear on exhaust

Is there any benefit on an svt to be able to adjust the timing on the exhaust cam? I,m trying to squeeze every hp i can out of my JRSC. Already considering nos and an overdrive pully.

Cam timing, like most tuning items is a compromise to work at different RPM's. If it's changed for more high rpm output, you lose everywhere else. A large change, and it wouldn't even idle for example. That's why variable timing was developed to allow timing to more closely match RPM. (intake changes more useful than exh., and a larger change used - in an engine that changes both, the intake variation is greater)
Supercharger helps most in low & midrange, prob. wouldn't work too well with a change that works only at high rpm - you'd lose the quick response midrange torque that's an advantage of superchargers over turbo's.
So - overall conclusion, best for ultimate HP N/A build that barely runs at low rpm - would lose HP/tq where yours is strongest.
