How to fix the 1-3k rpm deadzone for my svt?

I feel like it takes my car like 2 seconds to realize that im flooring it. it first gear, i don't have bog anymore with the tune, but i hardly feel any pickup until i get to about 3k rpms. is this typical for the focus? I realize that in a drag scenario i could leave my car at 3k rpms before i go, but obviously there are scenarios where i cant do that.

The SVT cams are so aggressive that they aren't meant to make power down that low. If you say the bog is gone then there's not much you can do. Peak torque for the SVT doesn't kick in until 4500 whereas it comes on at about 3500 for the Zetec.

Tom's Tune.

his tune has helped hundreds of SVT Focus owners with the bog experienced at low RPMs. not only does the tune help with lowend bog, it helps the entire power band and makes the car more 'drivable'

PM 1turbofocus or email him at hpdyno@aol.com

he will give you the price.

sounds like you want more throttle response. i suggest CFM's 67mm throttle body. i have none of the symptoms you speak of.

I don't have a SVT Focus, but I do have Comp2 cams in my Zetec and a larger Throttle Body did wonders for the low RPM bog I had.

I too have Tom's Tune. I indeed have enjoyed it, but I also experience the lack of response you mention. Good luck, I will see how it goes for you, maybe I will solve this for myself...
