The gross vehicle weight ratio is what the car should not go above in terms of loading. Basically the max weight of the car.

The real weight is right around 2700 lbs for the Focus. Probably a bit more for a loaded SVT with a sunroof and such.

Funny thing last time we had a track meet Raymond (aka tukniSVT) weighed our cars. Mine tipped the scales around 2700lbs. (with almost a full tank of gas) raymond's weighed in at a portly 2800lbs. I know what your thinking only a 100lbs. more right? Not exactly, he only had less than a quarter tank of gas. His SVTF was significantly heavier than my ZX3. I have no options roll up windows ect. His has all the bells and whistles. Overall they are still light cars compared to today's compacts 2700-2900lbs. real weight. The only other small car that I could find around our weight today is the toyota corrolla lol funny huh?

Not entirely relevant, but my Mustang weighs in at about 2080lbs (not a typo) without driver. I'm wanting to get it to about 2000lbs with me in it. The car will scoot:

Just for S and G but does anyone know what leagal or not you can remove from a Focus to make it Lighter, like not just the a/c and rear seat I'm talking door inserts and useless metal in the body that necessarily isnt there for looks but more for safety and can be removed

I dont think any thing is illegal unless it tampers with the air bags for the interior.
