OBX SVT header

Ok, so... I lost my stock SVT header... lol... and need a replacement... Going to http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/OBX-S...item5ada667795 and comparing it with http://focus.c-f-m.com/salefordfocus...ssvtst170.aspx (stock)... they LOOK the same to my non professional eye... Would I LOSE performance getting an OBX replacement (and saving $100+)? And if performance would be equal (wouldn't lose anything), would it fall apart on me in a few months? Lol. It LOOKS solid, looks identical just about... Anyone have any experience with one?

Also... I read that it has no EGR bung or whatever... not a problem as I am running 3" flex, 3" ORP, 3" cat back trubendz exhaust... Main concern is.. I don't want to LOSE performance and I want something that will last a couple of years without breaking into pieces as it will be header wrapped.

Exactly... So not having a bung type thing in the header (one of the reported cons of the header) is a PLUS lol.

should be the exact same as the stock one, without rusting!

post pics once you get it. But honest before you get one, try to find a used on here on the forum, if you don't mind a few dents in the bottom.

Also, may i ask why you running a 3" exhaust system without a turbo?

The OBX version definetly wont outlast the stock SVT header. You would probably be lucky to get 2-3 years out of it before it cracks. The stainless is poor quality since they are made in China. Overseas they dont have the same standards for material quality, so you are always getting an "equivalent". I can also bet the inside of the header looks terrible compared to the stock Ford SVT one.

The Ford Racing long tube header is a bit more money, but comes with the EGR bung and you can get it ceramic coated as well. Not to mention its made form t409 stainless steel too.

The ford racing isnt as good as the SVT header , The SVT out does ever header in production at this time

Try to find a SVT header used

Those that say you wouldnt feel a diff have no idea what there talking about with out a back to back test which can be done on my dyno if your choose to go this rought

Again svt's dont use egr so there is no need for it.

Fitment to the orp would be a concern of mine also.
