Oh wow... there's a thread either on this page or the next that goes through all the flavours of the rainbow when it comes to Getrag fluid.

I used to have royal purple synchromax, and then changed it to mobil1 it didn't make a difference from stock (or not that great of a difference to me as others say), mobil1 is cheaper than royal purple tho or just buy what they sell at the dealer it will be just as good

Ford Honey is the AWESOME!!! It's there synthetic tranny fluid. My parts guy didn't even know they made it lol. It's pricey though but worth it IMO. I've used both RP and the Ford Honey. I say Honey all the way. It smells kinda of good to lol

CFM sells it. I had to help my parts guy find it at my dealership I go to. I do think it was ether the same price or slightly cheaper at CFM I can't remember. It is expensive though. I think I paid 21 bucks a quart.

AMSOIL
Synthetic Fuel Efficient Automatic Transmission Fluid Product Code: ATLQT-EA
A fuel efficient automatic transmission fluid recommended for GM, Ford and Toyota transmissions where lighter viscosity oil is required. Provides the same excellent protection and performance as AMSOIL ATF. Recommended for vehicles requiring GM DEXRONŽ VI, Ford MERCONŽ LV and SP, and Toyota WS fluid specifications.

I replaced the factory fill Ford fluid in mine with the Amsoil Manual Transmission & Transaxle Gear Lube. It's very similar to the Ford fluid in terms of viscosity and costs less. So far it has been performing at least as well as the Ford fluid I drained at ~29k miles. Here's a link:

Huh? We're talking about a SVT Focus with the 6-speed Getrag transmission. Amsoil specifies the lube I mentioned above for this tranny. In addition, even if Ford called for Mercon V in this tranny, the product you mentioned is NOT compatible with those applications either. The Synthetic Universal ATF replaces Mercon V. The stuff you're talking about is a low-viscosity ATF, which would be BAD news in a manual tranny, especially the one used in the SVT!
