SVT header heat-shield

The heat-shield over the exhaust header, at the front of the engine, has been damaged and there are tears in the aluminum around the four hex-head screws at the top. Is the heat-shield the same for all Zetec motors or is the SVT different?

Anyone have one in good condition?

Thanks!

SVT is unique due to the header.

You might try the MarketPlace forums for a used one, though it might be hard to find a fully intact piece.
(They usually get pretty cut up when removed.)

^^^You could also start a WTB (Want to Buy) thread in the same area and see if you get any response.

I'm sure some will say to not even worry about it, but there have been some melted fans and bubbled paint on the hood from leaving the heat shield off.

Depending on how bad the tears are you could just add some large diameter washers under the bolt heads. I did that to all of the heat shields on my SVT when it was new.

That's a great suggestion, and certainly the least expensive.
