MSD Coil pack and wires

Is the MSD Coil pack and wires worth the money for what you get out of it.
I need to replace the wires and I thought a better coil pack might help performance.
Any thoughts???
Any other manufacturers to consider???
Thanks,
Steve
PS I am going to use Denso Iridium plugs

If it were me I would run either stock plugs or the SP463 copper plugs ( gapped at .060) with a set of Taylor wires.... thats what I'd do.

So you are saying the aftermarket coil packs are a waste??
IF this is true, then what would be my best choice for wires?

I got the MSD coil pack. It's not worth the money for the SVT. The only thing I noticed different from the stock coil pack is the visual appearance is better
Most ppl like the taylor wires

I haven't used Denso plugs but the MSD coil and wires do help. They make cold starts and idle smoother, throttle response a little bit quicker. I haven't actually timed 1/8 or 1/4 mile times but I might soon.

^^ Hmmm ... ^^

Did you run a 1/8 or 1/4 before your put on your wires??? A dyno would be more accurate as to what you gained.

I think your mind might be playing games on you. It does that to me when I add new parts.

Yea I usually get excited for results of bolt-ons but I then realize it was probably a waste

the MSD coil pack isnt really worth it for an "upgrade" when your stock one is working fine, but if your stock coil pack crapped out, and you have to have one, it doesnt hurt to get it.

If your looking for another option you can build a coil on plug setup. if your interested I can build one for you, but it involes wiring the in to the 3 wires that go to your existing coil pack. the tie down for it is another matter I used to use a couple drilled steel bars to hold them down and recently spurged on the hold down plate from jay racing.
