Smile Got me a SVT :D

Hey guys, just wanted to enter the world of the SVT Lounge. I used to own an 05 ST that got smashed.. not my fault but made a horrible decision to let my roommate drive it literately 1 block.. NEVER AGAIN! Anyways found this beauty #1049 SVT 3DR Pitch Black when I was shoppin for a new car. Already posted in the 04 registry thread to add to the list.

Anyways I love the car, not as torquey as the ST but still my style of driving. Doesn't look like a grasshopper from factory and has nice rims with already headers and exhaust. She's already got a few mods like a STS, K&N Short Ram and TB, but still want to do some more because its just so darn addicting! I'm thinking about joining FFA (Focus Fanatics Anonymous) 12 step program..

So here's what I'm thinkin about startin off with, let me know some of your opinions here.

First and Foremost:
Timing Belt
Water Pump
Both Pulleys
Rear Polly Mount
Luk Clutch/Flywheel Combo
Engine Tune-Up (Plugs, Wires, Filters, Cleaners)
DSI Clip
Thermostat (maybe?)

Second the Dess-up:
Euro-style Grille w/o Ford Emblem
Painting/Restoring Mach's (has Oxidation)
Clear Black Side Markers (Ebay ones...)
Black Shorty Antenna (painting the gold one.. ewww)
Painting Engine Bay Plastics (making it look pretty under there)
LED Style Taillights (haven't really decided which ones)
LED Clear 3rd Brake light
LED Interior conversion to Red/Hyper White
Painting Interior Trim to Candy Apple Red/Maroon

Third the Performace (POWA!)
SCT Livewire TUNE!
Jackson Supercharger... (I wish.. can't afford right now)
Maybe CAI instead of Short Ram
Cams, injectors, ???.. Sounds like there's already an exhaust setup on this but not sure.. sounds pretty damn good.. deep and throaty and when WOT in 3rd goin 65/70MPH feels orgasmic
Suspension seems pretty good enough to me

Any ideas for more NA Performance?

Well there's the list.. for some reason it helps to write it all down... takes away my obsession and feels like I accomplished something even though I didn't lol (well I guess research is out of the way, now just time for some development)

I'll be postin before and after pics to keep her alive and updated.. need to show off to someone.. right?

BTW here are some pics

there is no reason to change the cams. a CAI will be an upgrade over the SRI. the exhaust is aftermarket. how many miles? it looks really clean

82k miles so its about time to do some maintenance. The clutch is a little worn but will probably last another 10k. Got it for 5k from the dealer right next door to my work

That does look clean!

Both Pulleys
Is there something wrong with the pulleys?
Or, you mean to use underdrive pulleys?
^^^Won't really do a thing power wise, and will only wear out the engine faster since you'd be losing the harmonic dampener.

Luk Clutch/Flywheel Combo
Is the current clutch slipping?
If so, the Luk setup is a good replacement, but if the current clutch is fine I'd just hold off till the time it does need replacing.

SCT Livewire TUNE!
Definitely look up Tom (1turbofocus) on these forums:
http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/f...splay.php?f=72
^^^Great prices on the SCT, and you can't go wrong with his tunes.

All svt's got the sideskirts, bumpers, basically everything EAP has but the leather recaro seats, the cold weather package, and the EAP wheels.
