Ford parts counter douche bag!!!

i love it when you call ford knowing exactly what is wrong with your car and the automatic response from the DB on the phone is that there is something wrong with your car that is causing the problem.....well here's the story, i just called ford looking for my 3rd low pitch horn of the year, the same thing happens every time i put a new one on the car, it works fine till it rains, then the GD thing fills up with water and craps out. "it must be something electrical with the car" WTF...never mind the gallon of water that pours out of the friggin thing, yeah that's got nothing to do with the horn not working...ughhhhh!!!!sorry for the rant

Its called a up sell. If they can get you to think its electrical then they will say next bring it in we will look at it. They get more money from things like that.

I say it sounds more like a bad beep fluid seal. Beep fluid can look like water when its wet.

jasonbi;
Sounds like for some reason, you haven't been getting the updated horn and bracket.
There was a redesign on the later models, which solved the water problem.
I'm not sure why this hasn't happened, but when they enter the part search for you at the Dealer,
it should show that the part was superceded and that should be the only one available.

OK...The Librarian at your service:
There's a TSB for the horns that lists the updated part, and what to do differently when mounting it:

Ya, I'd say common sense would dictate that if the horn fills with water, move the horn ... or just don't wash the car or drive in rain.
