Intake Question

So when i bought my focus the previous owner said it was completely stock. however, it has a k&n air box/filter. I am pretty sure that everything else is stock but can anyone show me maybe what an installed short ram intake or cai intake looks like so i can make sure that I don't have one? I am getting toms tune and want to make sure that the only mod i have is the air box. I am going to take a picture of my air box too just to make sure and will post

Yupp thats the stock airbox! I dont have any pictures of mine, but i have a aem cold air intake on it.

The aftermarket intakes dont make much horsepower over the stock box with a k&n filter on it. Although the aftermarket intakes make its sound a hell of a lot better in my opinion!

yep its just a seperate filter you can buy, that airbox is the bone stock svt air box. if you want a little more sound out of it, pull out the snorkel on the right side of the airbox!

standing in front of the hood look on the right side of the airbox. there should be a snorkel sticking out the side, you can wiggle it around, it sucks in air, you can jiggle it out and it will make an increase in sound of the intake.

On the opposite side of the inlet, there is a black resonator attached to the box. Its basically there to quiet it down. You can pull it out, get more airflow, and better sound. All free. :)
