Are there prices reasonable?

Trying to get some maintenance done on my SVT and I've come up with the following prices:

from Precision Tune:
Valve cover gasket: $119.00
Coolant Flush: $59.90
Power Steering: $49.90

and from a Ford dealership:
Plugs 4 each at 20.00 each = $80.00 Wire Set $93.64 and labor $149.50 total without tax 323.14

I don't trust Precision Tune to change my plugs and wires. Do these prices seem reasonable? Should I keep shopping around?

If you don't trust them to do one job why would you trust them for anything at all? Honestly you can screw up a coolant and P/S flush faster than you can a plug and wire change.

Do the plugs yourself, get the Motor Craft Copper core plugs and factory wires for a great combo. Its really the most basic thing to do to a car besides add gas.

Yeah...so confused. I can understand not trusting a shop to do an LSD...but if you don't trust them with plugs and wires, that shop must be a piece of sh__

$119 for VC gasket? I think they are $14 from Tousley...it can be done in 15 min.

Sorry, I meant "these", not "there". Ford wanted $180 to do a valve cover gasket. I don't trust the shop to use the correct plugs. I dealt with another precision tune that took four hours to change my brakes due to the fact that they coulsn t get it through their heads that it was a svt. On second thought, I think I may just do the work myself. Thabks! :D

yes, it isn't that hard. I did this yesterday on my svt for the first time and it took me about 1 hour or so.

I change the valve cover gasket, grommets, wires and plugs.

good luck!
